Overview
When AARP needed to introduce the world to the concept of "Pretirement," the materials supporting that message had to be just as clear and compelling as the idea itself. The goal was to create a set of graphics that felt right at home alongside the existing ThisIsPretirement.org website while making the concept easy to understand and genuinely approachable for the people it was meant to reach.
Eight static, text based graphics were designed with careful attention to visual consistency, drawing from the campaign's established color palette of red, deep blue, cerulean, bright yellow, and lime green, all grounded by neutral greys and white. Typography was equally intentional, with Bookmania Bold anchoring headlines, FreightText Pro carrying the body copy, and Quasimoda handling utility text throughout. The result was a cohesive set of graphics that felt educational, supportive, and accessible, delivered in platform ready formats and packaged into a downloadable toolkit built for AARP affiliates to put to use right away.
