Medication Drop Box Awareness

Overview
When Harrisonburg Rockingham Community Services Board (HRCSB) wanted to increase public use of four existing medication drop box locations in the community, the challenge was not just awareness. It was reaching a genuinely diverse audience across language and cultural lines. That meant building an initiative thoughtful enough to speak to English, Arabic, and Kurdish speakers in ways that actually connected.
A full range of outreach materials was created to meet that challenge, including posters, billboards, social media ads, and a magnet designed for direct mail distribution. Digital ads were carefully translated into Arabic and Kurdish and strategically targeted to reach refugee populations in the Rockingham County area, ensuring that safe medication disposal information was not just available but accessible to everyone who needed it.
