The USDA Risk Management Education Division (RMED) had a challenge that many federal agencies face: how do you take complex policy information and make it truly accessible to the people who need it most? For agricultural producers trying to understand federal crop insurance programs, dense technical language was a barrier, and RMED needed a better way to bridge that gap.

Bilingual educational videos were created to do exactly that, using whiteboard animation, custom illustrations, and straightforward storytelling to transform complicated policy details into clear, practical explanations that actually made sense. Produced in both English and Spanish, the videos covered essential topics including crop insurance basics, Whole Farm Revenue Protection, and resources specifically tailored for beginning farmers. Captions and transcripts were built into every video to meet Section 508 accessibility requirements, ensuring no one was left out of the conversation.
